About
Larry Katzman
Captivated
by the mystery and beauty of Ireland, Larry Katzman has traveled to his
second home eleven times since1991. His Irish portfolio has been
exhibited in his native New York as well as in Ireland. Selected images
have been displayed at The American Irish Historical Society in New York,
and at The Arts and Heritage Center in Listowel, County Kerry, and at The
Hunt Museum in Limerick.
Not
satisfied with straight documentation, the artist "seeks to create an impression,
a reflection of both the soul of the country and that of the photographer."
It is the artist's hope that the soul of the viewer is touched in the process.

About
The Prints
The
photographs are printed with pigment based dyes on archival quality paper,
laboratory tested to fully retain their color for more than 100 years.
This means that the photograph can be passed down for several generations
and maintain the original look. The white mats and backings are acid free,
so that the prints will remain archival.

About
The Camera Technique
The
images are taken with a 35mm camera, which enables the photographer to
respond to the moment. The film is scanned at high resolution, then corrected
for exposure and color for a true-to-life print. The image itself is not
altered so that the information contained on the film matches that on the
print.
